Welcome back to Pavement to Profit, where I dive deep into the guest experience.
Today, I’m tackling the journey from arriving and being greeted to being seated at the table.
Believe it or not a multitude of factors are swirling around in the conscious and/or unconscious mind of the Guest as they walk to the table.
They're feeling self-conscious perhaps, they're watching the people already eating in the restaurant, they're listening, feeling, smelling, hearing, seeing. They are being seen, judged, recognised, ignored.
They're avoiding people and chairs in their way.
There is much going on and we need to understand this to ensure we create a seamless and positive journey to the table.
